Reformation Day Fun

After worship, we will meet in the Fellowship Hall to get things started! We are excited to celebrate with you – see below for all the details!

  • There will be an interactive prayer walk experience—we’ll have prayers posted on the doors for you to pray over our campus and ministries. You’ll have a map and a pencil to visit each spot, pray, and sign your name, initials, or mark on the prayer. Each door will have a different prayer prompt, but you are more than welcome to pray as you feel led! A sample of the prayer prompts is below.
  • We’ll also have a bingo card photo scavenger hunt! On the card, there will be a QR code to add your photos to the live slideshow playing in the Fellowship Hall. There are prizes for both single-line and blackout Bingo Cards, too!
  • There will be a snack bar where you can build your own trail mix of pretzels, M&M’s, marshmallows, and more.
  • Last, but not least, there will be some fun crafts and take-homes for the kids (and big kids) in the Fellowship Hall, where we can craft, snack, and enjoy the slideshow.

Why pretzels?

“There are numerous accounts regarding the origin of pretzels, as well as the origin of the name; most state that they have Christian backgrounds and were invented by European monks. According to some scholars and various sources, the most popular story is that the pretzel was made in 610 AD by an Italian monk when he decided to make a special treat to help motivate his students to keep on learning. He rolled out a few strips of dough and crossed them to try and resemble two hands praying, and after he baked it, the pretzel was born.” —Wikipedia
