I Give Up
This Lent, we’re taking a deeper look at what it really means to “give something up.” Not chocolate, soda, or coffee — but the things we cling to that quietly weigh us down and keep us from following Jesus more fully. Our burdens. Our need for control. Our bitterness. Our excuses. Even our very lives. Lent is not about self-improvement; it is about repentance — about laying down what we cannot carry on our own and trusting Christ with what we never could fix ourselves.
When we say, “I give up,” it isn’t defeat or resignation. It’s faith and trust. It’s placing our lives back into the hands of a gracious Savior who meets us at the cross and gives us forgiveness, freedom, and new life. We pray this 5-week series strengthens your faith and draws you closer to Jesus as you learn what it truly means to say, “I give up.”
