Did you know that the first Temple, built by Solomon, was built in the 10th Century BCE—about 1,000 years before Jesus.
It was destroyed in 587 BCE by the Babylonians, whom God used to bring judgment upon Israel for their idolatry and bring them to repentance. About 70 years later, the reconstruction of the Temple is recorded for us in the Book of Ezra.
Did you know that our current Sanctuary was dedicated in 1978? It is used by God to bring us His wonderful grace through God’s Word and Sacrament.
As the Sanctuary approaches almost 50 years of service to the Lord’s Church as the place of our worship, we are embarking on the Ezra Project to make sure that it might be a strong place of hope and comfort and nurture for God’s people for the next 50 years.
