Rice Harvest Festival – Saturday and Sunday Oct. 13-14th
We need people to work some allotment of time from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am -5:00 pm on Sunday. We run games for little children to raise money for our summer mission trips. Contact Nathan to let him know what hours you will be able to work.
Concert - Casting Crowns at the Toyota Center
Friday Oct. 19th at 7:30 pm
Please give Nathan $25 by Sep. 30th to reserve tickets. Nathan will be at the confirmation retreat, and therefore you will meet at the church at 5:30 pm to carpool with parents.
Halloween Party for Community Kids
Wednesday – October 31st from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Come dressed up (nothing too scary) and give out candy and play games with kids from the community. This will be in place of confirmation for this night.
Dinner/Show and Servant Auction Fundraiser
Sunday Nov. 4th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm
We will sell tickets to the congregation which will include dinner, talent show, and a servant auction. Students will be auctioned off to the congregation to do odd jobs.
Rock Climbing – Sunday Nov. 11th from 1:45 - 4:45 pm
Meet at the church at 1:00 pm ready to carpool to Texas Rock Gym on Campbell Rd. Cost is $12. A liability release form from Texas Rock Gym is required. 14 and older click here.
Supply Drive/Scavenger Hunt for Christ Clinic
Sunday Dec. 2nd at the church from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
We will be collecting needed items the weeks previous to this event from the church and then we will walk/drive around a few neighborhoods collecting items for Christ Clinic. Whichever group gets the most items off their list for Christ Clinic gets a prize.

At the Fellowship of the Woodlands Friday December 14th at 7:30 pm
Please give Nathan $25 by Nov. 25th to reserve tickets. We will meet at the church at 4:30 pm to carpool. Bring dinner money to eat at a restaurant in the Woodlands area.
Laser Tag – Saturday Jan. 12th from 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Meet at Times Square Entertainment off of Grand Parkway at 12:40 pm. Cost is $4.35/15 minute game. Play as little or as much as you want.
Winter Escape Retreat
Saturday to Monday - Jan. 19th-21st (MLK Weekend)
Meet with other Houston area LCMS youth groups for a retreat at Forest Glenn Camp. Meet at teh church at 11:00 am on the 19th to carpool. We wll return late afternoon on Monday.
Sign up and pay $100 by Nov. 4th.
Sub Sandwich Fundraiser – Sunday Feb. 3rd
Meet at 8:00 am in the Loomis kitchen to make the subs. Order forms will go out in January and are due by Jan. 27th.
Superbowl Party – Sunday Feb. 3rd at 5:00 pm
Come watch the big game on the big screen or play games until the commercials come on. Bring a 2-Liter and a snack.
Free Sitting for the Community Families - Friday Feb. 15th
It will last from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. We will provide games and activites as well as free child care for church and community families so that parents can go have a nice night out together.
Garage Sale Fundraiser
Monday through Saturday Mar. 2-8th. We will collect items from church members and setup and price from Sunday through Wednesday. Thursday night we will open up at 6:00 pm to give members the first opportunity to give to the youth. Friday and Saturday we will be open from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. Please contact Nathan to let him know what hours and days that you can work.
Concert – Lost and Found
At Epiphany Lutheran in Jersey Village.
Friday Mar. 14th at 7:00 pm. Cost is $10 to be paid by March 1st. We will meet at the church at 5:30 pm.
Easter Kid’s Carnival – Sunday Mar. 23rd after Church
Help act out a skit, run games, and hide eggs for the children. Let’s celebrate and share in God’s love with the children.
Camping/River Floating Trip
Friday and Saturday Apr. 18th and 19th
We are going to the Stahmer Camp House for a weekend of relaxation. Bring $20 for the tube/raft rentals. it is early dismissal, so we will try and leave around 2:00 pm Friday afternoon. We will return around 8:00 pm Saturday night. Sign up by March 15th.
Community Work Day – Saturday May 17th
Meet at the church at 10:00 am. We will provide acts of service to those in our community and church that could use a little help. The ending time will depend upon the amount of work that needs to be done.
Senior Commissioning - May 18th
We take the time to honor and bless the graduating seniors during the worship service. Give Nathan a senior picture, a bio, and a commissioning verse of your choosing by May 1st.
Ministerial Youth Retreat
Jun. 1-4th for those students going into the 9th and 10th grades and Jun. 8-11th for thsoe entering the 11th and 12th grades. If you think God might be calling you to a professional church work vocation, sign up by March 15th. The retreat will take place at Concordia University in Austin. You will meet with other professional church workers for a week of fun, information, and encouragement.
Schlitterbahn Water Park – Thursday Jun. 5th
Spend a day at the world’s greatest water park in New Braunfels. Sign up and pay $30 by May 5th for the tickets. We will meet at the church at 8:00 am to travel to New Braunfels we will arrive back at the church around 10:00 pm. Bring additional money for food.
The Crossing Retreat - Friday to Sunday Jun. 6-8th
This retreat is for all high school students and especially those students who were recently confirmed and will be entering the High School in the fall. We will have games, activities, do some work at the church, and spend time in God's word. We will stay overnight at congregation members' houses and have our activities at the church. There is no cost, but please sign up by May 15th.
High School Mission Trip - Jun. 20th - 29th
Small Group Work Camp
We will meet up with other churches for a week of fun and service in Bay City, MI. We will primarily be fixing up homes and doing minor renovations and construction. The cost will be $350. Sign up and pay $100 deposit by Nov. 30th with the remaining $250 to be paid by Apr. 1st.
VBS – July 14-18th Come and help some kids have fun with Jesus.
Week of Service - July 21st - 25th TBA
We will either work with an organization such as "Homes for our Troops" or we will have a week of service based here in Katy, where we will work with different community group every day and meet up in the evenings for a program. Details to be announced by March 30th. Sign up by Apr. 30th. Cost estimate $0-100.
Jack’s Family Retreat –July 27th-30th
Contact Jack De Roch to sign up for his annual Sunday School Retreat. This is a fun getaway designed for individuals or entire families. The retreat takes place in Wimberley, TX, where participants stay in a lodge, dine, and enjoy the outdoors together. This is an unforgettable and relaxing experience.
Youth Ministry Planning Meeting
Sunday Aug. 3rd after church. We can’t spell Youth with out YOU. We want student and parental input into making the next year spectacular.
Beach Party – Saturday Aug. 9th
Meet at the church at 10:00 am to carpool down to Galveston. Bring money for lunch and dinner. We will return in the evening.
Rally Day & Youth Ministry Orientation Meeting
Sunday Sep. 7th, 2008 after Worship and Sunday school. Lunch and ice cream will be served prior to the meeting.
